If you're an anime fan than you must be familiar with the cult classic Blood: The Last Vampire. The animated film told the story of a girl named Saya who was stationed at a school near a U.S. air force base in 1940's Japan to hunt down a new breed of vampires called Chiroptereans. Saya is the only one who can defeat them because, as they say in the film, "she's the only remaining original". Meaning she's the last original vampire.
There was an anime series of Blood that was recently aired on Cartoon Network from 2007-2008 that took place in modern times, several decades after the original movie called Blood +. If you haven't seen the anime series then check it out at anime digital distribution sites like Crunchyroll.com. It's better than the movie.
Now Japan is about to unleash a live-action Blood: The Last Vampire movie and based on what I'm seeing in this short 30 second trailer, it looks like it's going to SUCK BALLS! It's a damn shame too, because I like the Blood franchise and it pains me to see it downgraded to this.
